This page outlines the eleven main topic areas of the project’s statistical database. The database is a compilation of government and scientific statistical data on county social indicators and social problems, covering the years 2000 to 2021. Each topic area listed below links to more detail, including hundreds of indicators for each topic area. The database includes over 120gb of data, and about 1000 folders and 100,000 files.
This site is a rough introduction to the data and the project. The list below contains links to more detail, but the detail is currently abridged in this current, introductory version of the site.
Eventually (site under construction) there will be a page for each indicator that includes the following components: User-defined visualizations and statistics, space for user discussion, space for input of user stories (type, audio, video), ability for users to create own pages for public documentation of a new indicator, and more. You will need a free account to fully access these resources.
